About Us
As a progressive breeder, we strive to move forward building the perfect dog with each succeeding litter. As a hobby, rather than a business, we can afford to be very discriminating with the individuals selected for breeding. Health, in addition to conformational qualities and temperament, is our prime consideration in any puppies raised for sale.
We average 1 carefully planned litter a year that is raised in the house under foot for proper socialization. Please do not be offended if we ask you a lot of questions. We try to insure that each buyer is a responsible owner and educated in the breed so that each puppy will be a perfect fit in a forever home.
I’ve always loved animals from the time I was a child.  My family had always had cats, but I knocked on neighbors doors until I found a daily dog walking task.      Graduation sent me to the corporate world from which I have recently retired.   During those years, I raised a child while managing to stay involved with breeding and showing.
In addition to showing, breeding and finishing approximately 55 AKC champions in other breeds and two International championships, there were multiple obedience titles (7 CD’s and 3 CDX’s) completed, including a Utility Dog title, a barn hunt RATN title and even tried a little tracking with a Sheltie.   I’ve tried judging conformation and was an obedience instructor for the Charlotte Dog Training Club.  I am the past President of TASAA, Toy Australian Shepherd Association of America and also the past Membership Director.  In addition, I am also a member in good standing and and past  officer of the Piedmont Kennel Club, new member of Greenville Kennel Club,  our local  all-breed club, the Spartanburg Kennel Club, in addition to other regional and National Specialty clubs, including MASCUSA, past board member of the National Shiba Club of America and past trainer for the Charlotte NC Dog Training Club.    I have served on the Breed Standard Committee and the  Judges Education Committee of MASCUSA.     I was part of a group that formed the SEMASC regional affiliate and  served as President of that organization.  Dogs have been my entire life.
We believe that Quality takes priority  over Quantity when raising puppies.  We are willing to talk with you at any time about dogs, whether you buy from us or not.  Even if you are just interested in learning more about the Miniature American Shepherd, come visit with us and the dogs if you’d like but please call ahead for an appointment.  See Contact Us page.
